StormTeam10 Forecast

Jeff Haniewich

Hello!  The remnant moisture from Fay is slowly pulling away from the area, however on Thursday, we still had to contend with some leftover showers.  We are still likely to deal with some areas of light rain or drizzle through tonight.  It will be a muggy night with temperatures only going down a little bit...lows will reach the middle 60s.  Patchy dense fog will likely form tonight and linger into Friday morning, so be careful as you head off to school or work.  We will see increasing sunshine by Friday afternoon, but that sun will mix with some clouds all day long.  A stray shower still cannot be ruled out, but most of us will stay dry.  It will be a warmer end to the work week with highs in the middle 80s.  A weak cold front may impact the area on Friday night into Saturday, bringing isolated showers and storms.  So, on Saturday, expect about a 30% chance of rain, otherwise we will see partly sunny skies.  Temperatures will be near normal with highs in the middle 80s once again.  I am certainly not anticipating any widespread rain with this next frontal boundary.  Any residual rain should taper off Saturday night into early Sunday.  By Sunday afternoon, the sun will return and temperatures will top out in the low-to-mid 80s.  High pressure will move in late Sunday and be with us through Thursday of next week (of course, including Labor Day!!).  That means, lots of sunshine and slowly increasing temperatures.  High temperatures by the middle of next week will reach the upper 80s!  Have a great night!
